HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS HANDLED
Privacy information
Sovereign Empowerment handles enquiries through this website’s short enquiry form or directly by email. This website has no mailing-list signup or advertising-tracking code.
Who is responsible?
Sovereign Empowerment is the trading name of Gavin Bird, the individual responsible for personal information handled through this service (the data controller).
Data protection enquiries: gavin@sovereignempowerment.org. You can also use this address to request additional correspondence details.
Information used and why
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, brief description of the business-rates issue and any optional approaching deadline. We handle this information, together with relevant messages and documents you send, to respond to enquiries and carry out any agreed work. The legal grounds are steps towards or performance of an agreement, legitimate interests in handling enquiries and maintaining records, and legal obligations or claims where relevant. Please send only a brief outline of any case initially.
Targeted postal letters
We may contact selected businesses by post using business contact information, sometimes including identifiable names and roles, from business websites, directories or public registers. Where personal information is involved, we rely on our legitimate interest in relevant, proportionate business-to-business outreach. You can ask us where your details came from.
You can object to direct marketing at any time. Email gavin@sovereignempowerment.org with “Stop postal contact”. We will stop and keep only the minimum suppression record needed to honour your request.
Service providers and website visits
Netlify hosts this website, securely processes and stores form submissions, and may process technical access and security logs for hosting and spam prevention. Enquiries are recorded in the Netlify dashboard and sent as email notifications to gavin@sovereignempowerment.org so Gavin can respond directly. Please do not include confidential documents or unnecessary sensitive information in the initial form. Email, storage and document or research services (which may include AI-assisted tools where appropriate to agreed work) may process correspondence. We do not sell personal information. Some services may process information outside the UK, subject to applicable transfer protections. This site's code does not set advertising or analytics tracking cookies. External websites have their own privacy practices.
Retention
Unsuccessful enquiries are ordinarily deleted within six months; records of agreed work may be kept for up to six years, or longer if legally necessary; and unanswered postal-prospect information is ordinarily removed within 12 months. Limited details may be retained to honour a marketing objection.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, object to its use, and exercise data portability rights where applicable. You have an unconditional right to object to direct marketing. Send any request to the data protection contact above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
