Sovereign Empowerment is an independent service operated by Gavin as an individual, not by a limited company. The data controller's identity appears in the privacy information. Nature of assistance

Assistance consists of independent legal education, research, document preparation and strategic support in relation to business-rates disputes and related enforcement questions. Gavin is not a solicitor, barrister or chartered rating surveyor, does not operate a regulated law firm, and does not undertake reserved legal activities.

Information and decisions

Website content is general educational information. Each matter depends on its own facts, evidence and applicable law. A rates demand is not automatically invalid merely because it is disputed. Important payment, appeal and procedural deadlines should not be ignored, and specialist professional assistance may sometimes be appropriate.

Initial contact and any fees

The initial email exchange is free and carries no obligation. If further work is proposed, the scope and any fee will be explained before agreement. Sending an initial email does not in itself create a client engagement.

Case studies describe particular matters and are not promises of the same result elsewhere. Reviews may concern different kinds of disputes. Illustrative countryside and agricultural images are not presented as photographs of a client's premises.
